Granulator particle forming uneven how to do?

2025/03/12

In the fertilizer production line, the stable operation of the fertilizer granulator is very important. If the granulator particle molding is uneven, it not only affects the quality of fertilizer, but also may lead to a decrease in production efficiency and waste of raw materials. So, what is the cause of uneven particles? How to fix it?

1. Adjust the ratio of raw materials to ensure uniform molding of particles

The water content, fineness and adhesive ratio of raw materials directly affect the pellet forming effect.

• Water content is too high or too low: too much water easily leads to adhesion of particles, too little particles loose and difficult to form. The appropriate moisture content should be maintained (generally around 30%).

• The degree of grinding is not enough: the raw material particles are too large or uneven, which will affect the extrusion effect of the granulator, and fine grinding equipment should be used to improve the uniformity of raw materials.

• Insufficient adhesive: Especially in the npk production line, the reasonable addition of adhesives (such as humic acid, fulhumic acid, etc.) can improve the pelleting rate.

2. Adjust the parameters of the granulator to improve the particle uniformity

• Speed control: The speed of the granulator is too fast or too slow, which will affect the size and uniformity of the particles, and should be adjusted appropriately according to the characteristics of the material.

• Tilt Angle: For the disk granulator, the appropriate adjustment of the tilt Angle can make the particles roll longer and the shape is more uniform.

• Spray system optimization: the uniformity of moisture affects the shape of particles, so it should be ensured that the spray system is uniformly covered to improve the consistency of particles.

3. Maintain the equipment to ensure stable granulation

• Check the wear of the pelletizer: After a long time of operation, the internal parts of the drum pelletizer and the roller extrusion pelletizer may wear, resulting in different particle sizes, and the worn parts should be regularly checked and replaced.

• Clean up blockages: Long-term operation may lead to material accumulation, affecting particle molding, should regularly clean up the granulator internal accumulation.
