Equipment principle and advantages of roller extrusion granulator

As an important component of granulation equipment, the roller extrusion granulator has a unique equipment principle and significant advantages.

The roller extrusion granulator is mainly composed of a motor, transmission device, rolling mill, and feeding and discharging devices. When the equipment is running, the motor drives two rollers to rotate towards each other through the transmission device. The material enters from the feeding port and relies on gravity and the pushing of the feeding device to enter the gap between the two rollers.

As the rolling mill continues to rotate, the material gradually enters the extrusion zone. In this area, two rollers exert tremendous squeezing pressure on the material. This squeezing force is derived from the rotation of the rolling mill and the mechanical structure design of the equipment. Under the strong squeezing force, the distance between material particles is compressed, and the attractive force between molecules promotes the particles to bond and fuse together.

The concave mold on the surface of the rolling mill is a key element in achieving particle forming. These concave molds are designed according to the shape and size of the required particles. When the material is squeezed into the concave mold, it will be shaped into the corresponding shape. Due to the continuous rotation of the rolling mill, the material is continuously extruded and formed into continuous strip-shaped particles from the discharge end of the rolling mill. Subsequently, the strip-shaped particles are cut into independent particles according to a predetermined length using a cutting device.

This equipment principle endows the roller extrusion granulator with many advantages. Firstly, there is no need to add adhesive. This not only reduces production costs, but also avoids the potential impact on the original composition and properties of materials due to the addition of binders, making it particularly suitable for the production of products with high purity requirements, such as certain high-end fertilizers and chemical raw materials.

Secondly, the roller extrusion granulator has a high degree of flexibility. By replacing the rollers with different concave molds, it is easy to produce particles of various shapes and sizes to meet the personalized needs of different users. Whether it is round, square or other special shaped particles, they can be achieved by adjusting the rolling mill.

Furthermore, the production efficiency of the granulator is relatively high. Its continuous extrusion and cutting process can achieve large-scale production and meet the market's demand for product quantity. At the same time, the equipment has good stability, low failure rate during operation, and relatively low maintenance costs.

The roller extrusion granulator, with its unique equipment principle and significant advantages, has been widely used in many industries, playing an important role in improving production efficiency and ensuring product quality.
